One of the most beautiful and scenic places I have ever been to, if you ever want to relax and feel the need to be away from the busy fussy world, Zurich is the place to be. I loved the winters there and I'm sure summers would be equally lovely, but I am a bit biased when it comes to cold and I never want to miss a chance of wearing jackets and boots and sip a hot (for a change) cup of cocoa.
We reached our hotel around 7:30 in the evening and all the shops and restaurants were already closed, as told by the driver people close down by 5 max as it gets dark which left us with very less options to eat at. So after a quick check-in we came down and had dinner at a mexican resto called "Amigos" in Oerlikon. Nachos, tacos and fajitas were good enough as we were already quite tired and sleepy. Next morning (day 1) we got ourselves Swiss travel pass which is valid for train journeys throughout Swiss and is really convenient too. After 1 stop we reached our final destination Engelberg and from there on we changed 3 cable cars to reach the top of Mount Titlis at 10,623 feet (-5 degrees).
Oh and we had breakfast - most amazing croissant and chai latte ever at our fav cafe in Zurich before starting the day, you can read more HERE !!
My outfit for day 1 as it was literally freezing and windy, I loved it coz it's been ages since I saw winters last.

Just the way I had seen in movies.....
Can I have this please ???
I could already see it.....SNOW (not too far anymore)
Rotair gondola (World's first revolving gondola rotating at 360 degrees) is the final and 3rd stage before we could see the most beautiful Alps !!!
I was planning on missing it wondering about how cold it might be for Nia even higher, but to my surprise she had a gala time there getting herself clicked ( even though she was feeling the winds) !!
On our way back, snow was getting thicker !!
DDLJ MOMENT :)
A couple asked us to click their photo with this poster (they were thrilled) and insisted us as well...so !!
Selfie 1 (Nia would soon be ready to click photos) :)
Selfie 2 - at the peak (It was more windy and freezing than it seems to be, but he just doesn't feel it, while I'm in 4 layers)
Selfie 3 (couldn't resist)
Background to many Bollywood movies...obviously !!!!!
I am never going to get the sight of snow-covered mountain peaks, chilliest of winds, freezing temperatures and 3 of us dressed in red at the peak of Alps - outta my mind, if you ever travel to Switzerland do pay a visit to this white beauty in mountains and get your warmest of clothes to help you keep cozy.
I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as we enjoyed clicking them, to make it easier for you and me to remember I have uploaded them just in the sequence they were shot !!!!
Can't wait to share more, happy weekend !!
xo, Kanchan
