Hello friends, I guess summers are keeping us all jailed in our houses, as it is impossible to get out in the Sun. It is not a task to choose clothing when we decide to step out in this hot weather, as we want to choose the lightest material and color to absorb the least of heat we can, so it comes easy to pick a pair of shorts, a cotton tee which will keep us comfortable, airy and sweat-free throughout the day. But there is one more thing that everyone is seen carrying around and that is - a Scarf to protect the skin from harmful UV-rays and avoid sun-tan. Scarves are seen in a wide range of colors, prints and variety in all the famous clothing brands and they sell really good coz they are'nt just for the winters but a major style statement for summers as well.
After the girls have crossed the hurdle of choosing the perfect top to go with their short/skirt/denims comes a more difficult task of finding the best scarf for the outfit. As far as I know all the girls spend a minimum of 5-10 minutes to pick a scarf when they are out to buy one at the store, and its the equal amount of effort at home to choose one from the huge confusing collection for every outfit.
I have about 25 scarves and it is only coz of my love for prints and colors. I always buy scarves wherever I travel, for the different kinds of designs and patterns to my collection. And I'm sure you all must be having a minimum of 10 scarves that you must be using regularly. I do not want to lie but I have scarves in almost all colors and prints - polka dots and pink dominate my collection though.
Today's post showcases a really simple chic look for the summers wherein I have used one of my unused Dupatta( A longer version of scarf worn by Indians) as a Scarf with my denim shorts and a bright colored top.
Let me show you how I styled it and then I will give you the details about my outfit for the same.
I love orange color alot and when I saw this collection at H&M I picked a few more similar tops in 2 more colors. The best thing about a pair of denim shorts is that you can pair it with ny color tee-shirt and its will look pretty and stylish. I opted for a sleevless tee keeping in mind the hot sunny day of my shoot and picked this beautiful rainbow colored dupatta as a scarf, also coz it's made of a very light and soft material. Flats or sandals are really easy to carry the whole day when you have to walk or stand alot, they will prevent calf pain at the end of the day. You can also choose your colorful dupatta's and team them up with your favorite pair of shorts and tops. A hat or a cap can play a vital role in preventing alot of sun rays from falling on your face directly, though you might feel a bit hot in it but there is nothing better than guarding your skin against damage.
This for me is the perfect summer look, just don't forget to apply the sun-block before you step out girls.
