Hi all, as you all know I was on a holiday in Phuket last weekend for my husband's birthday, I thought of sharing the resort pictures and a little travel detail. We stayed at Renaissance phuket resort & spa at Mai khao beach from 21st-24th aug. It was basically a relaxing trip than an adventure or tourist trip as I had been there earlier last year. We reached the resort around 7pm and got our rooms ready in some 15-20 minutes, as my Dad and brother were also with us , we wanted adjacent rooms but their hotel was quite full and so we could not get it. For the first night our rooms were in different wings of the hotel, while other two nights they gave us a room next to my dad's.

Phuket is a tropical place being near to the beach it is mainly humid and rains often, so it was very crucial to choose right amount of clothes for this holiday. We got fresh and left for turtle village, which is a nearby and only place to hang out at Mai khao a sit has a few clothing shops, a supermart, a thai resto, a souvenir shop. We went to Bill Bentley pub which serves a huge range of western and asian dishes and alot of hard drinks, cocktails/mocktails and desserts. The good thing about this pub is that it has alot of games to engage in with your family or your partner.

Next morning we got up a bit late and reached for breakfast around 9 and it was still stocked up and fresh. I loved their breakfast cafe and the designs, all credits to their interior designer and the architecture.

The breakfast was royal and grand wih alot of options as you can see in the pictures above, I mostly loved their juice section and the breads. First morning was pancakes/waffle, second day was cupcakes and third morning was chocolate brownie. There are not much options for vegetarians except salads, so for Indians who are pure vegetarians eating breads for 3 consecutive days might be a little irritating. Last year I had stayed at JW Marriott at Mai khao beach and their breakfast was a little better if we compare the vegetarian or Indian food section, so you can decide to book the breakfast or not and rather eat something outside.

I appreciate the hospitality of the staff, they were really helpful and organized cake and flowers the way I wanted. Be it the staff at the recpetion desk, cafe, bar, poolside or room service, it all just made us feel more at ease and taken good care of.
I will definitely advise you all to stay at Renaissance Mai khao beach when you visit phuket, the only thing you might not like is that it is a little far from the city(approx. 10-15kms) but if your want a relaxing holiday it's the best place to stay.

Tomorrow I will be sharing another post wearing something from one of the new outfits that I have bought recently.

Good day everyone !!
xo, Kanchan
